Gemcor is Geothermal Energy and Mineral Corporation, a Nevada corporation dating from 1968.

Our land in the Imperial Valley has five developed geothermal wells so far ("Salton Sea Units I-V"), from which Cal Energy produces 166 Megawatts (MW) of electricity for sale to Southern California Edison.

To clarify, Gemcor is the lease-holder for land with natural steam wells. Cal Energy is our lessor and operates power plants at our wellheads. Southern California Edison transports and markets the resulting electricity in the region. Dividends to Gemcor stockholders come from royalties on electricity Cal Energy sells to Southern California Edison.
